Marie Miller Sanko of Moosic, entered into eternal rest Monday at her home with her family by her side. She is survived by her devoted husband, Anthony, and together, they have celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Robinson Miller. Marie was a 1954 graduate of Old Forge High School. For 30 years, Marie lived and worked in Illinois, retiring in 1989. Marie was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, Old Forge. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Joan Martz and husband, Robert, Moosic; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Two sisters, Betty Legg and Lois Dreistadt, preceded her in death.

The Sanko family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Patty Harris, Pattie Fisher and the entire staff of Arcadia Hospice for their support and concern during this most difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to attend Marie’s funeral, which will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 143 Harrison St., Old Forge, by the Rev Susan Zimmerman, officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.
